PROCEDURE
Suspend 40.0 G of powder in 1 L of distilled water and
bring to the boil to dissolve the medium completely. Sterilize by autoclaving
at 121°C for 15 minutes. Cool to 45-50 °C. To the sterilized medium as
eptically add 5 % of Sheep Blood Defibrinated (MB-S1876). Aseptically add 2
vials of TSA Hemin Menadione A supplement (MB-T0707) and 2 vials of TSA Hemin
Menadione B supplement (MB-T0708). Mix well. Dispense in petri dishes.
STORE
The powder is very hygroscopic. Store the powder at room
temperature, in a dry environment, in its original container tightly closed and
use it before the expiry date on the label or until signs of deterioration or
contamination are evident. Store prepared medium at 2 - 8°C.
