배지이므로, 식품공전 및 일반 규격에 맞는 제품을 구매하고자 하는 경우에는 Mannitol Salt Agar [MB-M1029] 제품으로 구매하시면 됩니다.
* Mannitol 을 분해하여 산이 생성되는 경우 기존 주황색이었던 배지 색이 콜로니 주변으로 노란색으로 변화합니다.

Medium used for the isolation and cultivation of Staphylococcus aureus from pharmaceutical products.

PROCEDURE
Suspend 111.03 G of powder in 1 L of distilled or deionized water. Heat to
boiling until completely dissolved. Sterilize by autoclave at 121°C for 15
minutes. Cool to 45 - 50°C in water bath. Mix well. Pour into petri dishes.
STORE
The powder is very hygroscopic. Store the powder at room temperature, in a
dry environment, in its original container tightly closed and use it before the
expiry date on the label or until signs of deterioration or contamination are
evident. Store prepared medium at 2-8°C.
