Medium used for the isolation and
cultivation of Gram-positive organisms, such as Staphylococci and Streptococci
from specimens with mixed bacterial flora.

10 Á¦Ç°ÀÇ °æ¿ì, 500ml ¹èÁö¸¦ Á¦Á¶ÇÒ ¼ö ÀÖ´Â ÆÄ¿ì´õ ¾ç¸¸Å ¼ÒºÐ µÇ¾îÀÖ´Â Á¦Ç°ÀÔ´Ï´Ù.
PROCEDURE
Suspend 42.5 G of powder in 1 L or 950 mL of distilled or
deionized water. Heat to boiling until completely dissolved. Sterilize by
autoclave at 121¡ÆC for 15 minutes. Cool to 45 - 50¡ÆC in water bath. If
necessary, add 5% of Sheep Blood Defibrinated (MB-S1876). Mix well. Pour into
petri dishes.
STORE
The powder is very hygroscopic. Store the powder at room
temperature, in a dry environment, in its original container tightly closed and
use it before the expiry date on the label or until signs of deterioration or
contamination are evident. Store prepared medium at 2 - 8¡ÆC.
